Every year we send a couple of teams off to Sheffield to compete in the BUCS national climbing competition, and represent Adventure & Expo, UPSU and  the university. This takes place at the end of March, and also gives those going a chance to get out on the grit for a day.

We run a series of competitions to select the teams to send to Sheffield, with the six best climbers getting on the teams, with the next three going on the reserve list. we also send two people along to act as judges for the event. Each team will have three climbers, with a mix of male and female climbers in each team. The reserve list must also be mixed.

The selection competitions are run at a variety of local walls, the first one being at the Barn on the 28th October. More soon about the rest of the events.

To get a place on the team you need to compete in at least two of these events and attend a training day. The best two scores from the series will be used to select the winners.

There will be prizes for the best scores at each of the competitions.
